This is a very special Black Currant bud absolute from LMR. It is molecular distilled absolute which amplifies the fruity quality of the material while downplaying the sulphurous and unpleasant side-notes. It is a rare material and LMR doesn't typically advertise its existence, reserving it for special uses and clients (such as Hermès).
The most notable feature of this absolute is just how clean and refined it is. The balance is almost hard to believe for a natural extract of this type. It is also decolourised making it very useful for modern perfumery.
Use it as a one for one replacer for Black Currant Bud 50% as the refined nature of this product gives it more top note presence.

Regulatory
Please note that Black Currant Bud absolute is unrestricted by IFRA and can, as such, be used at any level in a finished perfume. However, LMR performs its own Human Repeated Insult Patch Test (HRIPT) and have an internal company limit of 1.1% of the finished fragrance. The IFRA certificate we offer below is a Fraterworks issued certificate under IFRA 51 and is the necessary legal limit. Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
