Far too infrequently used by perfumers, thujopsene is a wonderful cedarwood note extracted from the heart of real cedar oil (typically it makes up 25% of the natural oil). It blends well with Iso E Super and other wood materials to provide a unique and distinctly modern wood quality. Thujopsene exhibits the clean scent of freshly sharpened pencils.

If you're sick of fragrances overloaded with the same cedar chemicals (such as Iso E Super), try blending those materials with this special natural or simply use this pure instead. Priced incredibly well and in plentiful supply, this is a must-have.

Best of all it is not under any form of restriction by IFRA or the EU and is not scheduled to be restricted in any way under IFRA 51.

IFRA 51: No restriction for category 4
    Appearance: Colourless liquid
Longevity: Lasts > 24 hours on a smelling strip

    General Information

Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.

All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.

    IFRA Standards

    Permitted amounts in finished product:

    IFRA 51: No restrictions
    IFRA 49: No restrictions

These are derived from calculated concentrations which do not replace chromatographic quantification on individual lots. Disclaimer...

    For Trade Use Only

Our products are intended as building blocks in the perfume creation process; they are not to be applied to the skin undiluted.

These raw materials are for use by the perfumery trade only.

    Complex, earthen cedar

Imagine walking through a forest of cedar trees after a storm...and digging your hands down into the dirt at the base of one of them. That's the first thought that went through my head when I opened this bottle. I immediately tried to figure out how to incorporate it in two formulas that evening.

Great cedar note and I find lasts longer than the cedar EOs. Many cedary notes available and this is an indispensable part of those materials

    Gorgeous cedarwood

Wasn't sure what to expect from this one, but it is gorgeous. So much more refined in odor than cedarwood VA with an appealing woody sweetness along with the recognizable "pencil shaving" dry note. The most elegant cedar material I've encountered.
