As with all Fraterworks products, this is of the highest quality, a beautiful and elegant laurel. Definitively the most superb I’ve smelled.

Having bought this for a wood and fruit project, I was surprised that it could be another note I've been looking for - the smell of a vintage hardshell musical instrument case, usually wood and lined with padded velvet, with an undertone of wax. Nice.

This is unbelievably soft and feminine. Fresh bright roses that make me long for Spring. It would pair beautifully with real deer musk. Ylang Ylang extra superior would go nicely with it too and orris. I haven't ever tried Chanel no 5 but I think I see how that formula came about, it combines my favourite smells.

The only other rose I have that comes close to this is a beautiful organic co2 extract of rosa centifolia from tunisia which I love. It is more warm and honeyed than this gorgeous specimen from grasse and costs as much.

I compared it to a rose centifolia absolute from Morocco that I purchased elsewhere; once I had tried them side by side I couldn't unsmell the harsh green notes that completely overpowered anything floral I may have once imagined in that Moroccan oil. I'd like to try Fraterworks Tunisian absolute to see how that compares.

Only downside is, as a previous reviewer mentioned, the packaging isn't great, the lid once opened, doesn't close properly and I'm travelling with mine.

Myrrh oil smell is a unique type of smell. I thought it would be sweeter, more balsamic, but it's still really rich and amazing. I highly recommend this ingredient for those who like more dark, smoky, sweet and leathery smells.
