    Absolute Ambergris™ is a painstaking reconstruction of 25 year aged Ambergris resin. Use it one for one in vintage formulas to replace 3% ambergris tincture, or as a magnificent and rich animalic ambergris note. 

    This is an essential item for all perfumers as there is nothing on the market that comes close to the elegance and blending power of Absolute Ambergris. Not only do you get the full scent of rich aged ambergris, but also all of the qualities of fixation, blending, and exaltation that natural ambergris gives.

    This has an indistinguishable scent from natural aged white ambergris tincture but we do not use alcohol in its manufacture.

    Unlimited use allowed for IFRA 49 and up to 8.3% for IFRA 51.

    Warning: This is a raw material for the manufacture of perfumes. Do not consume. Do not apply directly to skin. Keep out of reach of children.

    General Information

    Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.

    All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.

    Potent!

    I'd say this is very potent, even in comparison to real ambergris tincture at 10%. I've diluted this down to 10% for use. It's a nice analogue for ambergris.

    Wow, powerful stuff - love it!

    I used two drops in a 100ml formula and it was too much. I've balanced it out, and discovered it's lingering, warm and delicously animalic, with hints of amber and rich woods; definitely a winner.

    Wow......THE BEST. I found a synthetic ambergris a few years ago online. It was everything except the fixation and animalic odor. It dried down to sweet, ambery finish. This ambergris is everthing you want from ambergris absolute, but 100% vegan. Just mind blowing. This will be my No. 1 Ambergris until Frater comes up with something new.

    Beautiful scent

    While I've only ordered natural absolutes so far, this was one of my picks for the first order of synthetics.

    The scent truly is amazing: musky, sweet driftwood and old newspaper which might be the general description everyone gives but that summary does not do it justice: it starts with sweet, slightly faecal (though still pleasant), then as soon as that's relaxed, changes to the musky wood and finally the old newspaper notes as it dries - remaining sweet and very beautiful the entire time.

    You have to really smell it to get it: like music or colour; scents are one of those things words don't always encapsulate - only when we're describing common scents like citrus or fresh bread do we have a universally understood smell that's easily explained.
