    For those seeking an animalic note equalling the strength and ferocity of pure wild animal extracts, our Tonkin Intense and Ambergris Intense fit the bill. Forget Tonquitone, Shangralide and Muscarome… Tonkin Intense is the most profoundly animalic deer musk you will ever experience.

    Tonkin Intense is built using the most radiant and powerful synthetic musks with accents matching the full spectrum of molecules in natural deer musk. This is pure animal. We recommend diluting to 1% or less for modern fragrances and up to 10% for floral rich or classical styled perfumes.

    While this base does not contain natural deer musk which is prohibited under the CITES convention, it does contain animal products and is, consequently, not vegan.

    General Information

    Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.

    All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.

    I really love this dark musk. I like it for both musk and leather scents. It's not harsh at all but warm and fuzzy

    Intensely animalic base note that fortifies florals and calms screechy top notes-a very beautiful material integral to intimate scents. However, it feels a lot closer to a oud (crassna)/Hyraceum hybrid than actual deer musk, but I love it all the same!
