Cassis Base 345B Customer
This classic blackcurrant base from Firmenich is so ubiquitous you'll recognise it immediately upon smelling even if you've never purchased it before. It features in an overdose in Un Jardin Sur Le Nil by Jean-Claude Ellena for Hermès where it forms part of his green mango accord, and is found in traces in virtually every modern department store fragrance.
When you need blackcurrant, this is the base you should turn to. Use it in amounts up to 0.1% to add nuance, radiance and a light fruity connotation to the opening of your fragrance, or in higher amounts for a distinctly blackcurrant note.
And don't be fooled by the name, Cassis Base 345B is also floral (particularly in the rose direction), green and minty. The versatility of this base cannot be overstated.
We stock 345B because it is the favoured version of this base. Firmenich also makes a cheaper 345F. Cassis Base 345B delivers warm, fruity notes with ripe blackcurrant sparkle, consistently producing professional results. It offers reliability and sophisticated depth that perfumer wearers appreciate. 345B's exceptional warmth provides that perfect finish most projects demand. 345F exists as a cooler, greener option, but lacks the refinement and balance of 345B.

Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
