    Richer and more intense than our delicate Lilas Blanc, Lilas Pourpre is full bodied and powerful enough to hold its own in a multi-floral fragrance. Natural absolutes and oils add volume.

    This robust base is of an invar type - it performs consistently from start to finish without dramatic changes as it dries down. Wonderful for a general floraliser.

    General Information

    Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.

    All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.

    Doesn't irritate my respiratory tract

    Beautiful, realistic smell. Best of all, it doesn't irritate my respiratory tract and prompt mild allergic reactions like several accords from major US suppliers. Amazing! Got a sample this time (pictured) but will order more!

    One side of my home is adorned with lilacs that were transplanted from my late grandmothers home. I am blown away by the realism of this base...the only thing missing is the wind..truly a memory in a bottle, thank you.

    Simply Beautiful

    I have made my own Lilac accords before and I ordered this for comparison. All I can say is WOW! This essentially captures the full body and essence of lilacs. Very soft, delicate, and pleasing to the nose. I agree with the idea of adding in very small traces of Geosmin to give it a feeling of laying in a field of Lilacs.

    I keep getting what lilacs I can find. This version is my favorite as well as admirably powerful while lacking in my other versions. Very happy with it, needless saying and 100% agree with the previous review!

    Spring joy!

    Opening the bottle for the first time, I just smiled! There is no material or accord I have smelled before that has captured lilac Lilacs like this! Of course, this is a base which has other underlying notes like a vanillic sweetness gently humming below, but the scent is unmistakably Lilac. Very rich and long lasting. By adding some a-terpineol, a little Octanol 3 and maybe a slight trace of Geosmin, you could easily go photo realistic!
