Rose de Mai is the name given to the absolute produced from the rosa centifolia flowers picked only during the month of May. Traditionally this was produced in Grasse but limited supply and cost meant that most of the world's supply was moved to Morocco and Egypt.
Fraterworks is, as far as we know, the only supplier to the artisan market of the true Grasse grown and produced May rose absolute. This is 100% pure and natural Rose de Mai absolute made in France. Almost all of the annual production of this absolute is taken by Dior and Chanel so we are very fortunate to be able to offer it.
This masterpiece has an indulgence that defies belief. From the naturally sweet opening notes to the astonishingly balanced spice of the dry-down accented with hints of farmyard smoke and spring rains, it evokes every aspect of the Provence countryside.
Use this oil for very special personal projects or simply as a historic treasure of indescribable beauty.
Because of the high cost of this rose de mai absolute we are also offering it in one and ten percent dilutions in natural triethyl citrate (an all-natural odourless isolate from citrus which works particularly well with rose).

General Information
General Information
Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
