Renowned through the centuries and found in so many masterpieces of fragrance history, Provence Lavender is truly the Crème de la Crème, and LMR is the finest producer and supplier today.
In the 1960s the Provençal wild high altitude lavender supply began to dry up and so farming became the norm. Lavandula angustifolia Mill. was the variety of choice and all major regional suppliers took stakes in various farms to maintain their own special quality of oil.
Over the course of many months we have gathered lavender samples from all of our suppliers (MANE, LMR, Payan Bertrand, Floral Concept, Biolandes and Robertet). We have tested them in every way possible, from the sniffing of mouillettes to including them in various demonstration formulas.
Each oil has its own character but ultimately one stood out as the true reference for French lavender oil; that oil was the COSMOS certified Lavender Oil Provence from LMR (Laboratoire Monique Remy, part of IFF). It is so good we call it our signature lavender.
Lavender “Signature” Oil opens with the most classical lavender scent - it is the epitome of fine French lavender and it's superior quality was demonstrated time and again through trials. This lavender has a diffusion that far surpasses all others and a stable drydown that never seems to reach an earthy conclusion; its sweetness and floralcy just go on forever.
Lavender “Signature” Oil is a masterpiece of meticulous farming and skilful distillation. For a lavender extravaganza pair this oil with our impossibly beautiful Lavender Absolute from V. MANE Fils.

General Information
General Information
Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
