Rhodinyl Acetate has some similarities to other rose Acetates (it even shares an IFRA standard with Citronellyl Acetate) but with a darker and more leafy quality and significantly longer drydown period. Rhodinyl acetate is a lovely rose bouquet note with nuances of citrus and rose leaves.

Use this material to add lasting vitality to rose, muguet, geranium and citrus bases. Use it as a basenote counterpart to continue the citronellyl acetate theme through a scent. Novel effects may be had mixing this with cyclomethylene citronellal.

Blends beautifully with Mimosal®, Cyclosia®, Phenyl Ethyl Alcohol, Phenyl Acetic Acid, Rhodinol, Geraniolmuguet, rose and honey bases.

IFRA 51: 2.7% in finished product (Cat. 4)
    Appearance: Colourless liquid
Longevity: Lasts > 200 hours on a smelling strip.

    General Information

Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.

All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.

    IFRA Standards

    Permitted amounts in finished product:

    IFRA 51: 2.7%
    IFRA 49: 100%

These are derived from calculated concentrations which do not replace chromatographic quantification on individual lots. Disclaimer...

a must-have material for making natural-smelling floral bases

imho, this is a must-have material for making natural-smelling floral bases and it's one of the most complex and tenacious single aromachemicals i have.

on skin, it evolves with the complexity of a base. it has a bright, clear quality to it that reminds me of geranyl acetate, but the opening is slightly fizzy with a honeyed heart, and it develops a fatty, waxy quality that conveys the feeling of damp, fresh flowers. so, to my nose it sits somewhere between geranyl acetate, phenyl ethyl acetate, cyclomethylene citronellol, and l-laurinal.

i immediately put my 1g sample to work and now i'm back for more because i've found that it's perfect for creating fantasy flower bases that sit adjacent to rose, violet, and hyacinth. so far i've used it to make freesia, hibiscus, and passionflower bases and i think it's found a home in my lilac, plumeria, and plum/cherry blossom bases. so basically i can't live without this stuff now.
