Sublimolide™ is the V. MANE Fils produced version of Scentolide, the high cis version of Ambrettolide which is considered to be the supreme form of that musk.
In comparison to the more fruity Ambrettolide by IFF which we sell, Sublimolide has a scent closer to true ambrette seeds and a stronger power. Sublimolide is the superior option but they are sufficiently different to justify owning both and using Sublimolide as a special treat.
Sublimolide's super power in a perfume is a marvellous ability to elevate the senses of the wearer. To draw us closer to the achingly distant call of the sublime.
In MANE's own words: “SUBLIMOLIDE is a captivating macrocyclic musk whose structure and scent mirror the natural Ambrettolide found in ambrette seed, a plant from the hibiscus family. Rather subtle at the top, its musky note begins with a soft, understated introduction, only to bloom into a lavish and warm embrace, adorned with fruity nuances and powdery floral undertones. SUBLIMOLIDE is very long-lasting and has an impressive volume and sillage, exalting the top notes along the way. This musk can be used in vegan formulas.”

Sublimolide presents a clean, musky-ambery aroma with lactonic undertones, a soft powdery character, and subtle woody facets that create an elegant, long-lasting scent effect.

General Information
Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
