This material demonstrates the fundamental principle of aldehydic perfumery: power through dilution. Neat, it appears harsh and fatty with fermented fruit and wine-lees character. But diluted to 1% or less, it transforms into the quintessential aldehydic sparkle that revolutionised 20th-century perfumery.
The aldehydic lift effect is irreplaceable—it cuts through dense florals, resins, and animalic notes, making them feel lighter and more effervescent. This is the "rocket fuel" that launches fragrances from the bottle with that characteristic "whoosh." Its green, herbaceous, and ozonic facets provide freshness whilst the aldehydic power creates radiance.

Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
