Amarante is a beautifully balanced floral base that melds muguet, lilac, jasmin and rose notes with a soft woody dry down. Originally created by Givaudan in 1924, Amarante was popularised in the 1920s by Henri Almeras who loved it so much he used it in doses well beyond 30% in multiple fragrances for Jean Patou. Its presence can be felt profoundly in Amour Amour (1925).

This base is perfect as a core blender around which a distinctive character can be built with nuancers and high impact materials. Usable at up to 10% when seeking IFRA 50 compliance, this is a very versatile base.

Amarante is the epitome of classic French elegance.

    Beautiful

So in love with this multi floral woodsy base. Lilac is the main feature in this show. Honestly you can put perfumer alcohol in it and call it a day.
