NOTE: This product is not a perfume; it is a raw compound that must be blended with alcohol and bottled in order to be used. It should not be worn neat on the skin.
That famous metallic freshness hits first — dihydromyrcenol at full 1982 strength, backed by lavender, bergamot, and a cooling herbal rush of rosemary, basil, and mint. Nothing in the modern version comes close to this opening. It reads as clean, sharp, and almost industrially powerful.
The heart thickens with spicy carnation, coriander, and cinnamon, lifted by juniper. The spice sits on a dark animalic foundation the reformulated versions stripped away entirely. Our compound preserves all the great historic bases that gave the original its depth.
Underneath everything lies the real Drakkar Noir — patchouli, oakmoss, leather, and vetiver at full strength. The 1989 reformulation gutted the patchouli; subsequent versions removed the animalic and mossy fixatives too. This compound restores what was lost. Dilute and the 1982 original is back in your hands. Feel the power.
This formula contains IFRA compliant oakmoss and Lyral so while it is IFRA compliant (to 1.75%) it is not EU compliant. We are able to craft an IFRA and EU compliant variant that is safe to a higher level. Contact us for details. An MOQ of 1kg applies on custom modifications.

General Information
Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
