Dewfruit opens with an exotic burst of lychee and raspberry, both fresh and sophisticated. The cassis heart emerges powerfully—this is the base's signature, built around Givaudan's molecule Neocaspirene. Subtle herbal-green undertones keep the fruit from becoming candied, lending an elegant naturalism.
This iconic base originated at Quest International before Givaudan's acquisition and has become essential in modern perfumery. The sparkling fruity top note in Thierry Mugler's Angel came from Dewfruit, demonstrating its power to define legendary compositions. Use this base specifically to access the Neocaspirene molecule, which delivers cassis character that was difficult to achieve before its development.
Use Dewfruit between 0.1% and 5% in your compositions. It transforms rose, violet, and cassie accords with fruity radiance. The base works beautifully in chypres needing modern fruit, gourmand compositions, and abstract contemporary designs. Expect bright, happy complexity without excessive sweetness.

General Information
Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
