Lorysia® is the finest quality of Vertenex high cis on the market, having the highest amount of the preferred cis isomer. Comparisons of Lorysia® against generic and even other big name produced versions of Vertenex illustrate how truly marvellous this Firmenich product is.
While Vertenex (PTBCHA or p-tert-butyl cyclohexyl acetate) is a lovely volumising wood material, Lorysia builds on that with its soft fruitiness and almost edible quality. Arctander speaks thus: “Widely used in perfumery along with the Ionone, Cedarwood products, floral and non-floral perfume chemicals, a very versatile perfume material for soap and other low-cost fragrances, where volume is required. Generally as a blender / modifier in countless types of fragrances, from Pine to Rose, from woody to floral, it is one of the most successful perfume chemicals of the last few decades.”
A far more radiant material than regular Vertenex, we recommend this as a wonderful alternative to the now more common Iso E Super.
See our demonstration formula below for Dior Dior to see how Edmond Roudnitska used Lorysia® to great effect in what he considered to be his greatest fragrance.

General Information
General Information
Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
