Nerolin Bromelia opens with a soft acacia, wattle and neroli character that's distinctly more refined than its methyl ether cousin. You'll discover a mild yet tenacious orange blossom fragrance with grape and strawberry nuances emerging at lighter concentrations. This crystalline material melts easily at body temperature, releasing its characteristic powdery-floral sweetness that persists for hours.
Use Nerolin Bromelia frequently with oranger crystals, methyl anthranilate and petitgrain to build convincing orange blossom accords. Its exceptional alkali stability makes it irreplaceable in fine soaps where other florals decompose. The drydown remains fresher compared to oranger crystals' honeyed warmth, providing the dry petal-like quality that grounds volatile citrus notes.
Bromelia vs Yara Yara vs Fragarol
The nerolin family comprises three beta-naphthyl ethers that share orange blossom character but differ meaningfully in personality.
Yara Yara (methyl ether) is the most intense and industrial—powerfully diffusive with a harsh, pronounced naphthyl (mothball) edge that dominates functional fragrances where sheer impact matters. Its 400-hour substantivity and rock-bottom cost make it a workhorse for soaps and detergents.
Bromelia (ethyl ether) is softer and rounder, retaining the orange blossom character but with less harshness and better alcohol solubility—easier to blend into refined compositions while still offering 400-hour tenacity.
Fragarol (isobutyl ether) is the fruitiest of the three, with pronounced strawberry and berry facets alongside its floral character. Its lower substantivity (116 hours) and higher functional usage (up to 10%) make it more versatile for fine fragrance applications where that fruity-floral quality adds value.
Choose Yara Yara for maximum power at minimum cost, Bromelia for balanced orange blossom character with finesse, and Fragarol when you want the nerolin signature with added fruity sweetness.

All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
