Our Coffee Arabica CO2 from MANE is the gentle morning cup — warm sunlight, the colour rushing back to the world. It is refined, rounded, optimistic.
This is not that coffee.
This is 11pm in Naples. A tiny cup, almost too hot to hold, from a machine that has been running all day. The barista doesn't smile. He doesn't need to. The espresso speaks for itself: dark, intense, slightly burnt, impossibly concentrated. You bury your face in the grounds and breathe in. That is what this smells like.
Firmenich's Coffee Espresso SFE captures a roast level and an intensity that the MANE extract deliberately avoids. Where the Arabica CO2 paints a nuanced portrait — chocolatey, nutty, sophisticated — this one fills the room with a single, uncompromising statement: coffee, at full volume. The slightly charred edge lifts woody-smoky undertones that make it feel less gourmand and more animalic. Less pastry shop, more leather armchair.
Both are supercritical CO2 extracts. Both are extraordinary. But they are as different as a light-roast Ethiopian pour-over and a ristretto from a Neapolitan bar — the word "coffee" and precious little else in common. You definitely want both.
The Espresso SFE cuts through sweetness rather than adding to it. Pair it with tobacco, leather, labdanum, or dark woods for compositions where a softer coffee note would simply vanish. With birch tar and castoreum, it produces a coffee-leather accord that is devastatingly good.

Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
