Compound Armenie is our faithful reconstruction of Bois d'Arménie by Guerlain. Launched in 2006 as part of the L'Art & La Matière collection, this is a smoky oriental woody fragrance inspired by the tradition of burning benzoin-infused Armenian paper as incense. Tragically discontinued in 2024, this compound is as close as you can possibly get to the original formula which we have painstakingly restored. his fragrance costs upwards of $1,000 per bottle on the secondary market today.
This compound features a rich resinous heart of benzoin and guaiac wood that evokes smouldering incense. The top notes of frankincense, iris and pink pepper provide a powdery, spiced opening with immediate smoky depth, while coriander adds an aromatic lift to the heart. The base delivers copaiba balsam alongside earthy patchouli and soft white musk for a warm, lingering finish. The result is a contemplative, incense-laden fragrance with excellent longevity and close-to-skin projection – refined, meditative and quietly distinctive.
This compound is IFRA and EU compliant and ready to dilute and bottle. Just add alcohol.

General Information
Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.

Nitro Musks
Some of our products may contain small amounts of EU and IFRA compliant musk ketone. We never use musk xylene, musk ambrette or any other prohibited materials.
