    Ethyl Acetate is a highly volatile top note with distinct ethereal liquor nuances (particularly brandy and rum). It is used to round out the rough edges of sharp top notes but also to give dazzle to the opening of a scent. Arctander says it is used to give an aged quality to perfumes which might be useful in this modern age of little to no aging of fragrance compounds.

    Do not inhale. Caution should be exercised when working with this material. See the attached safety data sheet for more information.

    Due to the very volatile nature of this product we also sell it at 10% dilution in DPG.

    General Information

    Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.

    All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
