Geraniol is one of the four most common rose alcohols (along with phenyl ethyl alcohol, nerol and citronellol), present in all rose varieties. Geraniol Extra BASF, with > 98% purity, is the premium non-natural form of this material and makes an excellent cost-effective alternative to the more expensive natural isolate. For anything but the most luxurious fragrances and natural blends, we recommend this product over the natural.
As well as forming a key part of a rose complex, geraniol adds freshness and lift to fragrances. It blends beautifully with Phenyl Ethyl Alcohol, Citronellol 98, Rose Oxide Laevo, and Rhodinol ex Geranium Bourbon.

Geraniol Extra delivers a sweet, warm rose-like floral character with distinctive geranium facets, enhanced by bright citrus-lemon nuances, fresh green touches, and subtle fruity-peach undertones with a characteristically elegant dry finish.

General Information
General Information
Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
