    Alpha Fenchone is found in many essential oils, particularly fennel, cedarleaf, and some lavenders. To understand its wonderfully fresh scent we can imagine a blend of Cashmeran and Geosmin with their earthy notes, blended with herbs, lavender and camphor. Fenchone is a wonderful chemical that can contribute wonderfully to freshen and naturalise a blend. It should certainly enjoy a far greater popularity than it currently has.

    We can predict a future fragrance of great beauty that will capitalise on its complex top notes in combination with Dihydromyrcenol or Coranol.

    Blends well with Geosmin, Dihydro Ionone Beta, Cashmeran, Suralette™ Extra, Ethyl Safranate and Pettigrain Oils.

    General Information

    Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.

    All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
