Banned in the EU and restricted to 0.2% by IFRA for the rest of the us, Lyral remains one of the most profoundly beautiful white floral chemicals. It gave life to Aventus illustrating its amazing ability to floralise masculines without adding a feminine touch, and without it the masterpiece Chanel fragrance Coco (1986) wouldn't be possible.
As Europe strips bare its greatest works of modern fragrance art in honour of health and safety regulators, we can at least be happy to know that thousands of bottles of now-vintage perfume are still floating around on eBay to allow us to enjoy the beauty of this material. And thankfully most non-European perfumers are still free to use this in commercial scents.
And of course, if you are perfuming for your own pleasure or gifts, you may continue to use this glorious aroma chemical.

General Information
Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.

Some of our products may contain small amounts of EU and IFRA compliant musk ketone. We never use musk xylene, musk ambrette or any other prohibited materials.
