Violiff opens with striking violet leaf intensity—green, fresh, and immediately commanding. The fruity banana facet adds unexpected sweetness, while tagette-marigold brightness contributes an almost medicinal edge that keeps the material interesting. The overall effect is heady and aromatic, bridging green and floral territories with remarkable confidence.
This IFF material spent years as a captive molecule before its release to the wider market. The cyclooctenyl structure provides the violet leaf character, while the carbonate group adds stability and diffusion. Despite its 12-hour substantivity on blotter, the immense strength and projection mean Violiff punches far above its volatility—a little travels a very long way. The material works as both top note sparkle and heart note support.
Work with Violiff at up to 2% of your concentrate, but approach with caution—the intensity demands serious dilution before evaluation. Use at 10% or less to appreciate its nuances without overwhelming your nose. It blends beautifully with woody-floral materials, galbanum products like Dynascone, and metallic-pineapple notes. The banana facet makes it valuable in fruity-floral compositions where green freshness needs tropical warmth. Note: may form acidic compounds under heat, so store cool.

Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
