Hydroxyambran seems demure at first sniff but it is a wonderful material in the super amber family (though somewhat more woody than ambergris) that is more versatile and longer lasting than most.

In fact, Hydroxyambran is so long lasting it works as a fixative for Ambrocenide. It is absolutely synergistic with other amber type materials and is particularly good in combination with Permawood™, Operanide, Dextro Norlimbanol and Z11 (Ambraketal).

Hydroxyambran is a waxy solid at room temperature but it melts easily with a little warmth. Far too few perfumers utilise this very lovely amber wood chemical. It deserves some time in the spotlight.

Perfumer Arcadi Boix Camps sings the praises of Hydroxyambran stating it is "one of the best chemicals I have known and smelled … One of the sublime odours, the best of the best."

Fraterworks® is strictly a reseller of this product and is neither an agent nor official distributor for Miltitz.

    General Information

Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.

All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.

    IFRA Standards

    Permitted amounts in finished product:

    IFRA 49: 100%

These are derived from calculated concentrations which do not replace chromatographic quantification on individual lots. Disclaimer...

    For Trade Use Only

Our products are intended as building blocks in the perfume creation process; they are not to be applied to the skin undiluted.

These raw materials are for use by the perfumery trade only.
