Mayol is a clean and bright floral ingredient with a fresh scent that closely resembles lily of the valley. It adds a natural, smooth quality to fragrances and blends beautifully with jasmine, lilac, and tuberose. Its light and airy character also lifts citrus notes like bergamot while softening woody bases for a balanced effect.
Mayol is versatile, working well in both fine perfumes and functional products like soaps and detergents. Its floral freshness is long-lasting, making it a valuable tool for creating soft, elegant compositions.
Mayol's versatility can be seen where 2% modifies 9.5% lyral in Tom Ford's Tuscan Leather. It is also found in his Ombre Leather and Amouage's Opus XIV where a modest 0.05% contributes a light floral undertone.

Mayol has a fresh, clean, and delicately soft floral character reminiscent of muguet (lily of the valley) and magnolia, with subtle green and grassy undertones.

General Information
Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
