Despite its common names, Stawberry Aldehyde or Aldehyde C-16, this is not an aldehyde but rather a glycidic ester which smells of strawberry. It is one of the three most common fruit materials (the others being Aldehyde C-14, Peach and Aldehyde C-18, Coconut — also misnomers).
While large amounts can be used, this material is very high impact and tiny amounts can be felt through the entire life of a fragrance.
Aldehyde C-16 blends extremely well with the aliphatic aldehydes and is particularly nice as a nuancer to rose notes. Blends with ionones are classic. Use it with other fruity products such as Prunol SP or Persicol to create a highly modern gourmand scent.

General Information
General Information
Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
