Theaspirane is a radiant blackcurrant, rose and tea-like note with a camphoraceous opening. It blends incredibly well with Velberry™ and Givescone™ and the rose ketones which it happily boosts. This really is an indispensable chemical for the modern perfumer and certainly one we would never be without in the Fraterworks labs.

Perfumery: Techniques in Evolution (a series of articles published in Perfumer and Flavorist magazine) has this to say about it: “Theaspirane is one of those singular chemicals that seldom emerge from research. It might even be considered one of the 10 best chemicals on the market. It is present in natural tea, and its fragrance is extraordinarily complex: herbal, greeen tea, moist and recently cut tobacco leaves, with metalic, woody, floral and spicy backnotes. Its blends with vanilla notes, [tabanon], formyl tricide decane, the macrocyclic musks, Oxo-Edulane, 4-oxo ionyl acetate, Oxo-Damascone or beta-Damascone are unique.

Its radiant and unequalled beauty places this chemical among the exalted ranks of products such as the Damascones and Damascenone, Hedione and Exaltolide, without implying of course, that all these aromatic chemicals can be grouped in the same family. Theaspirane is a jewel that will be used more and more in the future.”

Fraterworks® is strictly a reseller of this product and is neither an agent nor official distributor for Ventos.

    General Information

Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.

All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.

    IFRA Standards

    Permitted amounts in finished product:

    IFRA 51: 100%
    IFRA 49: 100%

These are derived from calculated concentrations which do not replace chromatographic quantification on individual lots. Disclaimer...

    For Trade Use Only

Our products are intended as building blocks in the perfume creation process; they are not to be applied to the skin undiluted.

These raw materials are for use by the perfumery trade only.

To me this is very black current which became very deep red rose in dry down and could be very useful, but at the same time it brings a disturbing sweaty black current note in the top making it very hard to use.
