Citronellyl Acetate opens with remarkable freshness - neither the heavy sweetness of phenylethyl alcohol nor the sharp citrus of citronellol, but something uniquely textured. Think waxy rose petals dried in sunlight, mixed with ripe apricot skin. The fruity facet reads as pear and apricot compote without excessive sweetness.
You'll find this indispensable for modernising rose accords where traditional materials feel dated. Replace 10-15% of your heavy alcohols with citronellyl acetate to achieve that contemporary "living flower" quality. It excels at bridging top note citrus freshness into floral hearts, maintaining transparency while adding substantial body to thin compositions.
Work with citronellyl acetate in top and heart positions where its 8-hour substantivity provides lasting freshness. Unlike geranyl acetate which can feel green-apple sharp, citronellyl acetate offers a softer, rounder rosy-fruity effect. Its excellent alkali stability makes it valuable for soap perfumery. Blend with citronellol, geraniol, rose materials, and citrus oils for natural-smelling floral compositions.

General Information
Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
