    General Information

Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.

All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.

    IFRA Standards

    Permitted amounts in finished product:

    IFRA 51: 35%
    IFRA 49: 5.2%

These are derived from calculated concentrations which do not replace chromatographic quantification on individual lots. Disclaimer...

    For Trade Use Only

Our products are intended as building blocks in the perfume creation process; they are not to be applied to the skin undiluted.

    Delightful bright gourmand vanilla

To me it's a bright, light, airy and joyful vanilla base, more fruity-floral gourmand oriented than a typical Madagascar vanilla absolute that would be more dark, boozy and woody. This one brings me a feeling of lightness and joyful innocence with the powdery heliotrope-cherry note, I find it wonderful as a Tahitian vanilla base and I do agree with the previous reviews descriptions.

    Tahitian Vanilla Absolute Type Base

This base shares many characteristics with the Natural Vanilla Pod Tincture 20% sold here, it's almost as if it's an absolute of those same vanilla pods at 50%. It's sweet, balsamic, slightly floral, with heliotropin and cherry notes. While a Madagascan Vanilla would be darker, slightly smoky, with mild rum and dark dried fruits, this base is brighter, towards a cherry + dried prune direction, and can be used at higher levels. Best assessed at 20% or less. Combining Vanellia (@20%) with the Vanilla Pod Tincture 20% sold here, at roughly 1:3 will boost the presence and substantivity of the tincture, giving you a beautiful Tahitian Vanilla note. Worth adding to your collection, certainly if you're a fan of Tahitian vanilla.

    Decent vanilla

I am not sure how this would suit replacing vanilla absolute since I am a beginner but it is a decent Tahitian-like vanilla as the other reviewer said. Not too similar to vanilla absolute from Madagascar (this is a personal opinion) but it smells nice and is worth trying.

    Smooth non caramel vanilla

It's a very smooth vanilla with no sugar caramel notes and no smoky guaiacol nuances. It's almost floral heliotrope like with a distinctive fruity dry prunes note in the direction of Tahitian vanilla.
