Four Corners Resinoid opens with a dark, fruity sweetness evoking dried tamarind and rum-soaked raisins. Nutty caramel, gentle balsamic warmth, and a faint costus-like earthiness follow. Extracted from the four-ridged pods of the Cameroonian aidan tree (Tetrapleura tetraptera), this is an uncommon and distinctive material for your palette.
That rich fruity-balsamic character fits naturally into gourmand and oriental bases, where it furnishes a dried fruit facet sitting somewhere between rum and benzoin. You can also use it to warm woody accords or steer amber compositions toward something more exotic and unexpected.
Think of this as the link between the balsam shelf and the rum cabinet in your collection. It grounds gourmand accords when paired with vanillin, coumarin, and tonka, and enriches labdanum-heavy amber bases with a distinctive dried-fruit twist.

General Information
Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
