Zenolide opens with a clean, airy muskiness threaded with a distinctive red berry sweetness you won't find in most other musks. The waxy, skin-like quality is immediate and inviting. As it develops, a gentle animalic warmth emerges beneath the softness, giving it real depth without any harshness.
This macrocyclic musk excels at adding volume and lasting power to compositions that need a polished base. It sits beautifully behind floral and fruity accords, lifting them with transparent warmth rather than weighing them down. Pair it with ethylene brassylate for a layered musk foundation, or use it to soften woody notes in modern masculine and unisex builds.
Zenolide works across fine fragrance, soaps, shampoos, and home care with excellent stability. Note that it can solidify below 18°C—warm it gently until fully liquid before weighing to avoid crystallisation issues. At typical usage levels of under one percent, it provides a quiet musky glow; push it higher for unmistakable soft-musk presence.

Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
