Isoamyl salicylate offers an orchid-like floralcy with balsamic warmth, while amyl salicylate presents a greener, more herbaceous character reminiscent of clover. This olfactory distinction stems from their different molecular structures.
Isoamyl salicylate excels in creating sophisticated floral accords, particularly orchid, lilac and hyacinth notes. Use at 1-5% concentration in fine fragrances, floral compositions, and fougères. It functions brilliantly as a middle-note modifier, enhancing complexity and diffusion.

While both the iso and standard forms of this material have uses, if you're only going to purchase one, we recommend Isoamyl Salicylate for its versatility across multiple fragrance families.

Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
