Carbinol Muguet opens with soft, clean floral freshness—delicate yet substantial. The lily and hyacinth character feels natural and unforced, while sweet rose undertones add warmth. A gentle violet nuance and mild herbaceous quality round the profile beautifully, creating something that feels lifted yet grounded.
Arctander considered this material "probably the most valuable and versatile of all the so-called carbinols"—high praise indeed. It combines the best qualities of linalool and terpineol without their drawbacks: none of linalool's volatility and none of terpineol's woody-piney character. Use it as a structural floraliser at levels from 2% up to 25% of your concentrate. It builds floral body in muguet, rose, jasmine, and magnolia compositions while working equally well as an undertone in chypres and non-florals.
The 244-hour substantivity makes Carbinol Muguet exceptional value for floral work—your lily character persists beautifully into the drydown. Blend with linalool and linalyl acetate for lifted muguet effects, or pair with lindenol, orris, and cinnamyl alcohol for complex floral hearts. It serves a similar structural role to benzyl salicylate but with a distinctly different character.

General Information
Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
