Cedroxyde is a refined woody molecule which, unlike traditional cedarwood notes, has a subtle ozonic quality, imparting a slightly aquatic, invigorating facet. It gives lift to heavy woody accords and pairs beautifully with other synthetic ingredients like Iso E Super, Cashmeran, or Ambroxan. It works exceptionally well in marine-inspired creations, fresh woods, and contemporary fougères, often serving as a heart or base note enhancer. Its nuanced drydown reveals a touch of creamy smoothness that tempers its otherwise vibrant edge.
Cedroxyde excels when used alongside Sandalwood oils and lactonic elements to create creamy, smooth wood accords. Pair it with bright citrus notes like bergamot or grapefruit for a zesty, refreshing top, or mix it with synthetic amber molecules like Ambrofix or Orcanox for a more profound, resinous base. For green compositions, the ozonic cedar aspect integrates seamlessly with galbanum oil and vetiver aromachemicals like vetiveryl and vetiver acetate.
Notable appearances of this material include Henry Jacques Galileo (2019) by perfumer Christophe Tollemer, Elysium (2017) Roja Dove, Dior Homme Sport (2021) by François Demachy, and Bleu de Chanel Parfum (2018) by Olivier Polge. Cedroxyde also features in the luxurious Bakhoor Al Arais (2012) by Swiss Arabian.

General Information
Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
