Cis-3-Hexenyl Salicylate is probably the most versatile of the green family, owing to its lightness and blending capabilities. Often replacing the hugely popular Benzyl Salicylate of the past, Cis-3-Hexenyl Salicylate offers virtually all of the same benefits with the added fresh connotations.
Cis-3-Hexenyl Salicylate is balsamic, floral, green and orchid-like. It adds freshness and a sense of space to perfumes and could be considered beneficial to virtually every scent type.
This material blends beautifully with its relatives, particularly Cis-3-Hexenyl Benzoate, Cis-3-Hexenol and Cis-3-Hexenyl Acetate.
Like the benzoate, this also blends nicely with herbaceous oils like Clary Sage Oil and Lavender Oil and Absolute.

Cis-3-Hexenyl Salicylate has a nuanced green-floral character with herbaceous, leafy notes and a warm balsamic undertone that adds naturalness to compositions.
Extends green notes in floral and fougère compositions, adds naturalness to white florals, and creates solar/beachy accords with excellent staying power.

General Information
Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
