Coumarin is the usual method of adding tonka bean nuances to a perfume today, but nothing beats the full complexity of the natural bean. Cold tincturing is the best way to extract this beautiful scent. By combining coumarin, tonka bean absolute and tonka bean tincture you can create fragrances that are out of this world.
Our tincturing process uses the finest odourless food grade alcohol only. Absolutely no synthetic plasticisers, denaturants or diluents are used, resulting in a totally natural product by ISO 9235 standards. This is the gold standard of tonka bean tinctures and every care has been taken to ensure consistent excellence in every drop.

General Information
General Information
Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
