In days past, even though cinnamon bark and leaves had long given up their precious oils to the steam distillers of the 19th century, tincture of cinnamon bark was still a thing and was prized for its softer and more rounded scent profile. Fragrances such as the original Jicky (formula below) capitalised on this by using the tincture to modify essential oil of cinnamon.
This Fraterworks Tincture is made according to the oldest traditions of French infusion manufacture with purest glacial food grade alcohol. It makes for a wonderful alternative to cinnamon oil and SFE products.
Origin: Ceylon (Sri Lanka)
Variety: Cinnamomum verum
Part: Dried bark
Method: Cold ethanol tincture
Longevity: > 24 hours on a smelling strip
