    This honey-sweet light labdanum absolute (sometimes referred to as labdanum clear) is a truly sublime cistus material. This light product has a clear and bright tonality and can act to bridge the gap between the deep intense base notes. of standard dark labdanum absolute and resinoid and the dazzling vibrant top notes of cistus essential oil (AKA rock rose).

    Our light labdanum is a specialty product of our supplier and is simply the most elegant light product on the market. This is a kinder gentler labdanum that is perfect when you want the rich balsamic effects without the intense animalic notes of some absolutes.

    General Information

    Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.

    All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.

    Suprisingly bold.

    Neat, out of the bottle, I get a sense of nostalgic, syrupy, medicinal sarsaparilla. I think some heady florals would enjoy the contrast. Diluted to 10%, Labdanum Light reminds me of sweet, musty church pews with spicy undertones. I don't find it smooth - it's quite robust. I prefer the roundness of the Labdanum Supreme which in my opinion, is more rounded, smooth and sweet.
