Myroxide is an astonishingly powerful chemical. It opens with sweet, metallic freshness — herbal and immediately aromatic, like the best facets of lavender and clary sage distilled into a single material. Warm opoponax resinousness emerges underneath, adding unexpected depth. Fruity pear and tarragon accents round out a remarkably complex profile.
Think of this as ocimene refined for fine perfumery — all the aromatic freshness and diffusion, none of the terpenic harshness. Even small additions give tremendous lift and volume to fougères, lavender compositions, and spicy accords. It brings unexpected brightness to citrus and oakmoss work too.
Apply sparingly in citrus colognes where 0.3% increases brightness dramatically without smelling chemical. Combine with hedione for clean, diffusive floral-citrus topnotes or pair with oakmoss and coumarin for contemporary fougère structures. Works exceptionally well with coranol, vetiver, and aldehydes to accentuate woody-green facets. Avoid overdosing - this material's high power means even small amounts transform a composition's topnote character completely.

General Information
Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
