truly a deep leather smell like you have an old worn belt in your hand... but also some smashed cherries on the wind.

I’m in LOVE with this stuff. And true, I’d have been surprised if I wasn’t, but it’s everything I hoped it would be and more. If you haven’t smelled it, the best way I can describe it is a middle ground between hydrocarboresine and olibanum absolute. The extraction process dominates the initial scent, up front it’s much more like hydrocarboresine than it is like regular olibanum abs. What the material does in this case is kind of provide the backdrop and the underlying aura. It’s like HCR but without that slight animalic facet, it still has that hot smell but it’s drier, and with those beautiful olibanum abs heart and base notes in a glow around its center and in the drydown. I haven’t spent much time with it yet, because I was so excited I just couldn’t write this review fast enough. I only wish I’d bought more! If you love incense and resins just buy it, buy lots and buy it now lol

Thujopsene doesn’t get much love in the natural perfumery spotlight, but I’ve come to appreciate it as a quiet workhorse - dry, neutral, and remarkably versatile. It brings a clean, woodsy backbone that’s rare among naturals, especially for those of us working without synthetic crutches like Iso E Super. While it doesn’t have the radiance or volume of those lab-made materials, it plays a similar structural role: supporting the composition without pulling attention.

Ambrocenide is a beast of its own. Incredible material and it does not dissapoint.
To me, it offers a slightly different function than other dry super ambers of its kind.
Traces seem to really enhance and lift up the rest of the fragrance and helps to provide good diffusion.
Can also work in overdoses and large amounts even though this might be repulsive to some. I myself, LOVE it. Perfumes like Megamare for example make it work.

Would recommend 10 out of 10 times. Best superamber there is.

Lovely material, glad i picked it up. Very useful to make more complex patchouli notes and to blend them with the heart.
