Synonyms: Olibanum Resin Absolute
Variety: Boswellia spp. Classification: Base Note[i]
Biolandes has a number of products in which they truly shine. When it comes to resins we have a range from a number of suppliers, but when it comes to a reference olibanum resinoid (via alcohol extraction) no one can beat this incredibly beautiful extract.
Olibanum Absolute is a solid (fragrant dry pebbles in various sizes) so we offer it pure and in a 50% solution in TEC.
If you are looking for other options we also have the highly popular Olibanol, Biolandes' Olibanum Coeur MD, Payan Bertrand's Frankincense Essential Oil and the historic Olibanum CNC base formerly of Chuit Naef and Cie.

Olibanum Absolute presents a rich, intensified balsamic-resinous aroma with deep, sweet-woody undertones, subtle smoky facets, and a concentrated incense-like character that's more rounded and less terpenic than the essential oil.
Provides luxurious depth in fine fragrances; excellent fixative in oriental, woody, and incense-inspired compositions.

General Information
General Information
Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
