German chamomile bears an intense ink-blue colour (hence its nickname of blue chamomile or chamomile blue oil). It has wonderfully sweet notes making it a hidden gourmand treasure.
Our German chamomile is from a single estate in England, a nation that is regarded as the finest source of this oil. Unlike most commercial blue chamomiles which can be quite heavy, ours practically dances. It is delicate and refined - a real treasure. We love this quality of oil so much that it is the only German chamomile we use in our products. The care that has gone in to the manufacture of this essential oil is obvious from first sniff.
Once you have tried our German Chamomile “Signature” Oil, you will be a convert for life.
If you are wondering, the difference between the German and Roman chamomile plants is that German chamomile flowers grow in clusters, while Roman chamomile flowers grow singularly atop a hairy stem.
We also stock a wonderful Roman chamomile oil.
