Isophytol opens with remarkable subtlety—this is not a material that announces itself but rather one that whispers sophistication into every blend it touches. Its gentle floral-green character reads like crushed jasmine leaves rather than the indolic flowers themselves, providing the crucial naturalistic foundation that synthetic jasmine reconstructions desperately need. The distinctive tea-like quality adds an unexpected dimension of refinement, making this material indispensable for contemporary clean compositions that demand both complexity and restraint.
Use Isophytol at 1-5% when reconstructing jasmine absolute—it literally comprises 7% of the natural material, providing authentic depth without heaviness. Beyond jasmine, it excels in creating sophisticated tea accords where its dry-leaf character combines beautifully with bergamot and hedione for photorealistic Earl Grey effects. Use it to extend white florals like tuberose and gardenia, where its fixative properties anchor volatile top notes while contributing subtle green-herbal complexity that prevents these flowers from becoming cloying.
The practical applications of Isophytol extend far beyond its jasmine heritage into realms where delicate complexity meets functional performance. Its exceptional substantivity (up to 168 hours) makes it your secret weapon for creating lasting impressions without the heaviness of traditional fixatives. Combine it with modern molecules like Paradise Molecule® or Habanolide® to create "skin scent" effects that evolve beautifully over time. Its mild character allows generous dosing in functional fragrances where you need sophisticated florals to survive challenging bases—think premium fabric softeners and hair care products demanding both tenacity and refinement.

General Information
General Information
Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
