Palmitic acid greets you not with a shout but a whisper - a barely-there fatty warmth that feels more like clean skin than perfume. It reads waxy and bland in isolation, with a faintly oily, candle-like smoothness. This is a textural material, not a decorative one.
Think of palmitic acid as invisible scaffolding. It slows the evaporation of volatile top notes, anchors fleeting musks to the skin, and adds creamy body to lactonic and floral accords. Pair it with ambrettolide or isoambrettolide for substantive, realistic skin-musk effects. Blend into jasmin or tuberose bases to recreate the thick, waxy feel of living petals.
Try it at low levels to soften harsh aliphatic aldehydes like dodecanal, or fold it into orris reconstructions alongside myristic acid to mimic the fatty matrix of genuine orris butter. You can also use it to build convincing dairy and gourmand textures with gamma-undecalactone and butter esters.

General Information
General Information
Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
