Variety: Eugenia caryophyllus (Spregn.) Bull. & Harr. Classification: Base Note[i]
Clove bud oil is perhaps the most versatile of all the spices. It adds naturalness and warmth to rose bases, delightful spiced notes to gourmands and interesting medicinal notes to more exotic blends.
This clove bud oil is a speciality of Payan Bertrand and is superior to all others. We hand selected it from the myriad options on the market today. Having a sweeter and more vanilla nuance, this Madagascan clove is extremely close to the near-mythical Zanzibar clove bud oil of the past.

Clove Bud Oil presents a warm, intensely spicy aroma with inherent sweetness and deep woody undertones, complemented by subtle balsamic richness, refreshing acetic nuances, and a distinctive phenolic character that creates its unmistakably penetrating and comforting signature.
Used as a middle note in fine fragrances to create carnation accords, add depth to florals, and contribute warmth to oriental, spicy, and woody compositions.

General Information
General Information
Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
