Grapefruit is one of the most recognisable citrus notes in perfumery and one of the hardest to sustain. Standard grapefruit oil blazes brilliantly for twenty minutes and then vanishes. Grapefruit Heart solves that problem. This is an LMR speciality — a concentrated citrus fraction designed to boost the grapefruit profile of your formula, even at very low dosage.
LMR describes it as juicy and bitter-fruity with a hint of sulphurous undertone — that distinctive metallic, almost tropical edge that separates grapefruit from every other citrus. Here it is cleaner, more focused, and far more tenacious than the standard oil. A small amount provides grapefruit character that conventional oil cannot sustain past the first half hour.
Use it alongside our Grapefruit Oil Pink for a complete grapefruit statement — the pink oil gives natural breadth and juicy sweetness in the opening, the Heart extends it into the heart and beyond. Essential for any serious citrus composition, aquatic accord, or fresh fragrance that needs grapefruit to last.

Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
