Cedrat Heart captures the most compelling fractions of citron peel oil — the bright, mouthwatering zest and the elegant bitterness — while discarding the unstable monoterpenes that make whole citrus oils so fleeting. What remains is sparkling, sweet-bitter, and surprisingly tenacious. A candied quality sets it apart from lemon or bergamot.
This concentrated citrus is equivalent to a terpeneless oil, so you use it at roughly one-tenth the rate of whole cedrat. That concentration means citrus character reaches deep into the heart of a composition rather than flashing and vanishing in the first minutes. Classic Guerlain-style colognes depend on exactly this kind of persistent citrus backbone.
The sweet-bitter balance invites creative use beyond pure cologne work. It sharpens vetiver and woody compositions with a zesty edge. In gourmand accords, the candied facet bridges citrus and vanilla. Try it alongside bergamot and neroli for a full hesperidic heart, or with lavender and coumarin for a citrus fougere with real sparkle.

Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
