Red Mandarin Essential Oil is the richest and sweetest of all mandarin varieties, offering a deep, intensely fruity citrus aroma with a soft, almost velvety character. Unlike the crisp zestiness of Green Mandarin or the balanced brightness of Yellow Mandarin, Red Mandarin is fully ripened, resulting in a scent that is smooth, warm, and lusciously sweet with hints of candied orange peel.
Red Mandarin Oil stands out for its unique composition, containing a higher proportion of aldehydes and esters that contribute to its roundness and longevity. It pairs exceptionally well with vanilla, tonka bean, and creamy florals, enhancing their depth with a naturally sweet citrus glow.

Green Mandarin Essential Oil: Extracted from unripe green peels, this oil boasts a tart, sharp citrus scent with a floral hint. Its olive-green hue reflects its youthful vigor, offering an energizing boost in aromatherapy and perfumery. High in limonene (~70%), it’s prized for refreshing skin care blends.
Yellow Mandarin Essential Oil: Derived from semi-ripe yellow peels, it delivers a balanced, semi-sweet citrus aroma. With a pale yellow tone and ~71% limonene, it strikes a middle ground between tart and sweet. It’s less common but shines in uplifting aromatherapy and cleansing applications.
Red Mandarin Essential Oil: Sourced from fully ripened red-orange peels, this oil exudes a rich, sweet citrus scent with floral undertones. Its reddish-orange color and ~72% limonene content make it the sweetest, ideal for calming diffusion and cosmetics. It’s the most widely available of the trio.

General Information
Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
