Cinnamon "Gold" Absolute is an extraction of the whole bark that captures everything steam distillation leaves behind: the sweet, baked, buttery facets that make cinnamon one of the most universally beloved spices on earth. Where cinnamon bark oil hits you with a sharp, aldehydic top note that can overwhelm a formula at even modest levels, this absolute is smooth from the first moment. It smells the way cinnamon tastes — warm, rounded, confectionery, with a Red Hots candy sweetness that is immediately recognisable and immediately appealing.
The colour is a deep olive green, slightly viscous but readily pourable at room temperature. We also offer it at 20% in TEC for easy weighing and incorporation.
In perfumery, this changes what cinnamon can do. An amber base of labdanum, benzoin, and vanillin — materials that already lean warm and sweet — becomes something extraordinary with the addition of this absolute. The cinnamon warmth integrates seamlessly instead of sitting on top as an aggressive spike. Gourmand compositions that would normally require careful balancing to tame a bark oil can use this absolute more freely, because there is nothing to tame.
It also works brilliantly in contexts where you want cinnamon warmth without the spice-rack cliché: woody-amber accords, soft orientals, tobacco bases, even certain floral compositions where a thread of baked spice adds intrigue without disrupting the balance. Instead, a smooth, rounded, deeply gourmand cinnamon with a buttery sweetness and a powdery spiced warmth that radiates gently rather than shouting. The drydown is soft, woody, and persistently spicy without any of the sharpness.

Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
